Bad-boy rockers Tommy Lee and Dave Navarro and electro king Paul Oakenfold teamed up with the Meridian Entertainment Group (Table 8) to buy Bar Deluxe in Hollywood. Together they've transformed the gritty space into a sleek rock-'n-roll lounge. Naturally, Courtney Love, Carmen Electra and Pamela Anderson are regulars. But surprisingly, there's no velvet rope.

Boho babes channeling Kate Hudson's Almost Famous look and pierced dudes who like their radio dial permanently fixed on KROQ have found a new Hollywood home. This isn't a crowd that notices the concert footage of Jimi Hendrix and the Rolling Stones projected on the walls. All eyes were on the fit bartenders rocking tight tank tops and camouflage miniskirts. And it was hard not to marvel at the eight-foot-tall lenticulars of punk-rock women—from one angle it appears a girl is pounding a shot. Manager Bobby Montes, who honed his chops at Prey and The Belmont prior to his gig at RokBar, treats his guests like rock royalty, removing non-bottle-service guests from reserved tables without barking or belittling. Also part of the stellar roadie crew is Table 8's touted chef Govind Armstrong, who created a small-plates menu including his signature grilled cheese sandwich with pulled short ribs. For post-prandial smoke, you can puff away in the front lounge that's a cross between an airport smoking lounge and a prison cell, with bars on the window. How hardcore!
