A monochrome hotel-like lobby area leads into the public first floor lounge area of this sprawling venture. Restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow has re-created the historic destination into a designer playground for pre-dinner drinks and late-night lounging. More modern than the adjacent eatery, the bar features wood-beam ceilings and hand-knit rugs accented by floor-to-ceiling drapery and tubular lounge chairs around circular tables. A multimedia wall of pulsating pop imagery sets the scene for martini drinking and nibbling on seviche, Kobe sliders and deviled eggs.
