People are always confused: Is Tatou an upscale restaurant or is it a high-energy club? The answer is both. The kitchen serves a Cal-Asian menu, which in this case means everything from dim sum to ceviche to osso bucco. (Yup, even the menu has multiple identities, though every bite is good and the restaurant has a stunning view of the downtown skyline.) The 1,200-capacity dance space, on the other hand, looks more like a warehouse. There are preserved palm trees and a giant disco ball, but the most stunning view is that of the scantily-clad go-go dancers. Like everything else at Tatou, the club scene is also all over the map with salsa lessons, Asian dance parties, burlesque shows and surprise sets by the Black Eyed Peas and 2 Live Crew. |
