Los Angeles is considered THE most important stop for live music especially rock and roll. As an answer to the lack of available venues for the underground music scene, especially for Latin Alternative music, The Westchester Sports Bar & Grill emurges in 1998 as the most active and available option for locals who love roc en español, the bands creating a buzz in Spanish-language alternative, and visitors of this crazy and beloved city. Now eight years later in 2006 and still going strong, in The Westchester Bar is proud that it is the ONLY venue in the US to provide latino alternativo every Friday and Saturday, and on certain Sundays and weekdays for touring bands. Rock, ska, punk, alternative, metal, emo, goth, electronica, urbano rock (and occasional token English nights too!) The Westchester spotlights not only the best local talent in L.A., but alternativo from all over the US, Mexico, Argentina, Spain, Colombia and the entire Spanish-speaking world. The sound system has recently been reconfigured to provide great audio with punch, a 24 channel board that include effects for vocal, lighting and new microphones. Audio recording is also available. If you are a performer you will love playing here--it is familia. Our regular fans call The Westchester home.
